ANDALUSIA ON THE ROAD

Spain is one of my favorite countries in Europe, I’ve been there several times and I never get tired of exploring it.
When I was living in Manchester I used to share the house with two other girls, Gema from Bilbao and Emily from Wales, now we try to see each other once a year somewhere in Europe, this time we planned a road trip around Andalusia. We all flew to Madrid, rented a car and went to Granada where we visited the stunning palace of Alhambra, then we did the Caminito del Rey, probably the highlight of the trip, Ronda, all the way down to Tarifa, explored the wild beaches of Bolonia and ended up our trip in Cordoba.
I loved Andalusia because you can breath the arabic influence, the nature is raw and wild, each city has its own character, but the best part of this trip was Emily and Gema, it’s like time hasn’t passed, we are always the same and we always have lots of fun together.

Just want to mention few places we loved, I mean food in Andalusia is amazing everywhere, so many pintxos, tinto de verano, Rioja, bread with aceite (oil of oil), salmorejo, churros, patats braves, croquets all day everyday, arroz caldoso and many more. ok we love food.

In Ronda don’t miss Churreria Albavery local place with delicious freshly made porra.
El Lechuguita for tapas and tapas and more tapas, only locals and tasty food.

In Tarifa food was excellent,

Andrea ‘s brunch, they have the hipster kind of food I was craving for, acai, avocado toast and many more, when you get tired of churro.

La pescaderia, we got there the arroz caldoso, like a paella but cooked in a different pot I guess.

In Cordoba we LOVED Taberna san Cristobal, we had dinner twice there, it was so good, we always tried to go where locals eat and this one was packed at every hour. My friend Gema is spanish that’s way we always got the best recomdations.

Where to next??
