This is the work I’m most proud of and also the closest to my heart, I photographed Monica and Roy one month before the big day in Den Haag and expressed my desire to photograph the birth of their child, after few concerns they said yes!

When the day came I want’s prepared, I was having a photo-shoot in Amsterdam and then I got a call from Roy saying they were ready, and I was like, really? Now? OMG? So I went home, took all the stuff that I needed and went to Dan Haag’s hospital. Here I was witnessing the biggest miracle of life, it was beautiful, real, raw, but also hard at the same time, it’s not easy to photograph someone who’s in pain, and pain was real, I felt like I had to breath in and out too, but I will be forever grateful for that experience and to be there in such an important and unique moment in a life of a family, the delivery of a child is the most magic moment I ever photographed, I can’t even explain the emotions that were going on, it’s amazing seeing when pain turns into the most immense joy! Can’t stop looking at the photos without shivering and shedding a tear! Welcome to the world beautiful Eden, you’re the most beautiful gift!
