This is going to be a looong post and very special one! I still have to process everything because it’s been amazing being part of Margot and Riccardo’s weddings (yes, there is more than one), and honestly it felt like a dream.
Margot is Dutch and Riccardo is Italian, they met in Amsterdam 6 years ago, I got to know Margot through Instagram because she’s one the most talented and creative person I know, but besides that she’s a very kind, sweet and strong woman.
When she told me she was getting married I was thrilled, because her, at that time, fiancé (now husband), is Italian, from the region called Calabria.
They got married twice, the first wedding took place in Amsterdam with only the closest families; the second one took place at the stunning Villa Ventura in Calabria, Italy.
Friends and families flew from all over the world, literally, to Italy. It was a very special day, starting from the first look, the outside ceremony, a gorgeous sunset we had and the warmth of family and friends.
One thing is still printed on my mind, Margot once said: I’m marring my best friend, Riccardo is my best friend. This is for me the base, the foundation of a strong and lasting relationship, you are truly soul mates.
