There’s so much tension before shooting a wedding. Every time it’s like the first time, the day before I can not sleep, and on the day itself I feel every kind of emotions, excitement, happiness, gratefulness but also fear, you have so much responsibility and lots of people to make happy, including yourself as an artis and photographer, but as soon as the day starts I enter in my world, I’m 100 % present and focus with everything is going on around me.
Shooting Sarah and Wouter’s wedding was a dream, I still remember the first time I met them at Coffee Label here in Amsterdam, it was click right away, I couldn’t be more excited to shoot their wedding.
These two soul-mates were just meant to be together, she’s french and he’s dutch, but they met in the far away Canada, after going back to Europe they sticked together despite the distance, she was back in Paris and he was back in Amsterdam, and now after years spent traveling between two countries they just celebrate their wedding and a new life together.
The ceremony took place at the Pulitzer Hotel in Amsterdam, the ceremony was arranged in the garden with amazing flowers decorations by A.P. Bloem. The ceremony was beautiful and very personal, celebrated by the best friend of the groom, with lots of speeches from other closest friends, it was fun and emotional at the same time.
No more words now, I’ll let the photos telling their story.
Thanks Sarah and Wouter for letting me capturing your big day.
